Based on the aircraft type, the fuselage frame assembly is constructed.  The inner Fuselage frame is fabricated from 3/4 " plywood for strength and durability.  Slope angles of the actual aircraft are replicated to precise tolerances. These measurements are taken from blade contour templates and/or aircraft drawings.  Rail Assembly is framed and prepared to accept skins.

F/A-18 FLIGHT SIMULATOR MASTER SKINNING:

After the frame assembly has been fabricated and inspected the frame is covered with a 1/4" veneer skin panels.  The veneer skin is contour fitted to the shape of the cockpit, glued and stapled to the frame assembly to avoid lifting of the skin from the frame structure.

F-18 FLIGHT SIMULATOR COMPOSITE FIBERGLASS:

Composite fiberglass and wooden reinforcements are added to the jell coat surface to complete the molds. The master is removed from the mold and the mold surface is prepped for casting.  Each fuselage half is cast up using industry standard fiberglass techniques.   The fiberglass fuselage pieces are left in the mold for several days to fully cure before they are removed.
