Since this is going to be a  very large one piece instrument panel, HRS assembled the various parts and built framing to support the master parts in a rigged position for creation of the removable hard back shells and the silicone molds that will be used for pouring liquid plastic material that becomes the final F-16 one piece front instrument panel structure.

The Master Parts are temporarily edge split and enlarged where necessary to allow for the silicone molds to be poured around the assembled master parts after the hardbacks are created. Care also must be taken to ensure that their is sufficient silicone mold material area thickness to allow for the liquid plastic to flow throughout the instrument panel.

F-16 FLIGHT SIMULATOR MOLDING - SILICONE MOLD POUR:

When the hardbacks and shells have been created and positioning buttons have been put into place on the hardbacks to maintain a rigid positioning of the hardbacks the silicone molding pour tubes are put into place. Silicone is then mixed and poured between the back shells and around the master parts to form a hollow area that will create the one piece F-16 instrument panel.
