The numerous variety of sticks and throttles are interchangeable by the way HRS uses the electrical cable connectors and the pins within the connectors on each stick and throttle mechanism to provide the necessary interchangeability between sticks and throttle sets and even going from USB to Serial. This is transparent to the end user as all HRS's flight controllers are - Plug And Use - in any combination of controller sets from Various Fast Jets To A Different Fast Jet To The Various Helicopters And Back Again To Fast Jets. For USB one electronic circuit board is sufficient to drive all models in USB for all various fast jet and helicopter change-out configurations used in a scenario. In Serial only the cable are required to operate all models. High Rev Simulators provides desktop or flight controller sticks and throttles. These controller grips are available in metal or high impact resistant proprietary urethane cast plastic. HRS's high fidelity plastic grips have a very high rigid 80 Shore D rating that produces a tensile strength of 7,600 PSI, 10,000 PSI flexural strength and a compression stress resistance of 85,000 PSI. Our stick and throttle grips DO NOT have, use or contain mercury or Lead. The flight controller stick and throttle operational mechanisms are completely designed and manufactured to attach to the top cover plate. This design activity allows both stick and throttle to be universally used with or without the metal cast base housing for multiple roles such as desk top stand alones, small desktop mini-sims, class room training aids or full big box simulators. High Rev Simulators HOTAS desktop base castings are made from very strong foundry poured A356 T6 aluminum to withstand rigorous knock around abuse. The USB (Electronics Included) or Non-USB (Wiring Only) HOTAS Flight Controller Sticks and Dual Arm Split Grip Throttles are specifically designed and manufactured by High Rev Simulators (HRS) to meet the rigors of heavy use throughout commercial, industrial and military simulation and training, including the requirements of military field mission rehearsal. There is no use of PVC or PVC wiring in any of HRS's Products. High Rev Simulators sticks and dual arm split grip throttles can be adapted for motion and force feed back systems for additional reality in the training and mission rehearsal arenas when used in flight devices such as the big box simulator enclosures and work extremely well for the small training aids of mini desktop classroom size devices. High Rev Simulators Throttle Target Designator - TDC or Radar Cursor was also designed and made in-house and has the functionality and feel of the real transducer strain gauged slew switch. This copper beryllium shaft driven switch has the strain gauge force sensors just like the real controls and also has the down select switch with the positive selection feel. There is no difference in feel from HRS's transducer strain gauge switch and the real flight hardware. High Rev Simulators offers and prefers to use small compact Hall Effect Sensor Encoders in place of potentiometers for the smooth output signals (no spikes) and is inexpensive for such a high fidelity device. These little Hall effect sensors have a cycle life of over 10 million rotations. HRS's USB electronic microprocessor boards have been designed in-house learning from the ills, mistakes and short comings of other USB board manufacturers and have been in use for approximately 3 years. Very careful consideration has always been taken to insure continuity with all of our interfacing boards for quality and durability. The overall USB design plan was to meet every possible scenario of switches and rotating devices throughout HRS's existing product lines and future potential new products. This electronic board approach allows HRS to assign switches anywhere on a product or between products with a minimum of effort and offer full interchangeability between different stick and throttle mechanisms. High Rev Simulators USB electronic micro processor boards do not auto-disconnect.
No flight control stick or throttle design is too complex for HRS to accomplish. HRS can design, create, replicate and populate a custom or existing control grip to meet customer requirements.
